5-5 Day for Lewis Sunday, October 1st, 2017 Next time the Ducks might think twice about pitching to Robert Lewis. Today at William Spade Park the Murfreesboro third baseman really burned Long Island pitching, going 5-for-5 in the Deacons 11-8 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Robert Lewis singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off José Vargas in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Lewis is swinging the bat at a .255 rate with 133 hits in 521 at-bats. To date he has hit 11 home runs, scored 83 runs and driven in 88. |
