Vélez Selected Top Player Monday, September 18th, 2017 All week long nobody could get Alfredo Vélez out in the Ford Frick League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week. The Phoenix right fielder took home the trophy by blasting 15 hits in 27 at-bats for a .556 batting average, driving in 9 runs and scoring 7 times. Vélez is batting .337 this season in 90 games with 16 home runs, 55 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 68 hits in 202 at-bats. |
