Frederick Booms 3 out of the Park Thursday, September 7th, 2017 Kris Frederick of the Blackpool Gamblers had a lot to celebrate in today's 13-9 win over the Frisco Rams. Three times he celebrated by pounding the ball out of Bloomfield Road. He kiddingly told reporters after the game, "Hopefully, I can continue to close my eyes and swing as hard as I can. It worked well today." The powerful Blackpool center fielder tagged 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7 runs and scored 3 times in his three-homer outburst. Frederick added, "Seriously, I just try to swing early and often to give myself a chance. I let the pitcher supply all the power, I just try to figure out how to get the bat on the ball." "We talked about changing our strategy for the third one ... and then he hit another homer," the Frisco manager said. "We just couldn't get him out." Kris Frederick hit a solo-shot off Bruce Wall in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bruce Wall in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Bill Pritchard in the 9th. This year Frederick is batting .242 with 15 home runs and 53 RBIs. |
