Patterson Suspended by League Saturday, August 26th, 2017 Barry Patterson of the Blackpool Gamblers became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Silicon Valley yesterday at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Today, the Gamblers left fielder addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 2-game suspension by the league. Patterson said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Patterson returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. For the season Patterson is hitting .285, batted in 67 runs with 19 home runs and 68 runs scored. |
