Super Swinger -- Nelson Slams 5 Hits Sunday, August 13th, 2017 "It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Henry Nelson after his 5-hit performance against the Wolves. "No offense meant to Lake of the Isles, but it was like I was back in little league again. I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was The Den." The Murfreesboro second baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 18-5 victory. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Henry worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Nelson said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it." Henry Nelson singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, struck out in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This season Nelson is hitting .327 with no home runs. |
