Rodríguez's Hit Streak Over Friday, June 23rd, 2017 Madison triumphed over Murfreesboro today 7-5. However, that was not the whole story. Beehive left fielder Vicente Rodríguez failed to get a hit for the first time in 20 games. Rodríguez went hitless in 4 at-bats and had his streak broken. Commenting to reporters at his press conference, he said, "Some days the past few weeks I carried the club, today they carried me. No matter what, it is always good to win a ballgame." This season Rodríguez has delivered 89 hits in 292 at-bats for a .305 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .343 clip and his totals also include 55 RBIs and 42 runs scored. This year Rodríguez has played in 72 games. |
