Red-Hot Barton ACL Player of the Week Monday, May 22nd, 2017 The top batter in the Alexander Cartwright League last week was Jimmy Barton, who batted .433 and towered above everybody with a 7-game hitting barrage. During the week Barton banged out a .433 batting average (13-30), 2 home runs, 9 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. Today the Temple second baseman received the ACL Player of the Week Award. For the season Barton has produced 51 hits in 176 at-bats for a .290 average with 7 home runs and gotten on base at a .362 clip. |
