Deacons Ma Smacks 5 Hits Friday, April 21st, 2017 Kim-Hu Ma really did a number on the Mustang -- but Carson City retaliated and did a number on the Deacons -- they beat them 13-12. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 6 at-bats. But Ma did just that today for Murfreesboro and gave his batting average a healthy boost, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 24-year-old right fielder said after his record-setting performance. "I just wish we had won the game, too." Kim-Hu Ma hit a solo-shot off Muneyaki Ichihara in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Muneyaki Ichihara in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Johnston in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. In the 2017 season Ma is hitting .356 with 4 home runs. |
