Bader Chosen #1 Player Monday, September 26th, 2016 26-year-old Steve Bader made a few Blackpool headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .462 average. Bader collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 10 runs. Bader is hitting .243 so far this season with 72 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has 115 hits including 23 home runs, 73 walks and .354 OBP. |
