McIlrevie Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, July 7th, 2016 Mike McIlrevie put on a hitting clinic today as the Wolverines dumped the Beehive 10-1 at The Hive. The Wichita center fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Madison pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Mike McIlrevie singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. McIlrevie is hitting at a .266 mark this season. His stats show 3 home runs, 27 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has played 83 games for the Wolverines. |
