Manning Powers 3 HR Against Blackpool Friday, May 13th, 2016 Every now and then, the right things happen at the right time. Doug Manning discovered that when he smashed three homers at Cowboys Stadium during today's 10-2 win over the Blackpool Gamblers. The Carson City center fielder said in the postgame interview, "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them. The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Manning finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Doug Manning grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Alexis Dumont in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Soren Wunderlich in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th. This season Manning has banged out 39 hits in 142 at-bats for a .275 average with 15 home runs. He is getting on base at a .358 pace and his totals also include 29 RBIs and 30 runs scored. |
