Simpson Selected Top Performer in ACL Monday, April 25th, 2016 24-year-old James Simpson made a few Blackpool headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 26 at-bats to put up a .462 average. Simpson collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. Simpson currently has a .347 batting average with 25 hits, 3 homers, 12 RBIs, 12 runs scored and a .390 OBP. |
