Garza Torches Whitecaps for 5 Hits Sunday, July 19th, 2015 During a player's career, there are days that stand out and this day was definitely special! Juan Garza went 5 for 5 against the Grand Haven Whitecaps at North Shore Park and the Red Bulls picked up a 7-4 victory. "What a day!" he said. "We win and I get 5 hits! Couldn't be better!" "He was patient up there today," the Riverside skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly agressive. Garza has a tendency to go after some bad balls sometimes." Juan Garza doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this year Garza has hit .248 with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
