Alexander Cartwright League Names Top Player Monday, July 13th, 2015 25-year-old Shawn Dennis made a few Grand Haven headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Alexander Cartwright League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .520 average. Dennis collected 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 7 runs. So far this season Dennis is hitting .317 with 14 home runs. |
