ACL Awards Best Batter Prize to Thompson Monday, September 22nd, 2014 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Taylor Thompson of the Riverside Red Bulls reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Thompson rocked opposing pitching for a .536 average (15-28), 1 home run and 7 RBIs to come away with the award. Thompson is batting .256 with 2 home runs and 37 RBIs this season. |
