Alexander Cartwright League Announces #1 Player Monday, September 15th, 2014 Ron White must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .520 pace, then the Anniston left fielder finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Alexander Cartwright League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, White quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for White. He hit .520 average (13-25) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. Looking at his stats this year, White has compiled a .296 batting average, while hitting 20 home runs and driving in 109 runs. He has played in 135 games and scored 84 runs. |
