Barrage of Hits Gets Román BCL Award Monday, September 17th, 2012 Norm Román burst onto the Blake Camden League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for Astoria garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 23-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .452 (14-31) with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs last week. For the year Román is batting .289 with 21 home runs. |
