Longoria Must Sit Out 3 Games Thursday, July 5th, 2012 Mdewanketon third baseman Félix Longoria was suspended 3 games by the league office for throwing his bat and helmet after he was ejected for arguing with the plate umpire following a strikeout. The incident occurred in yesterday's game between the Sabercats and the Albuquerque Cacti at Mystic Lake Stadium. Longoria has a .229 average and a .340 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 19 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 14 runs. |
