Big Day for Woodward: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 It was a parade of hits for Jim Woodward of the Detroit Death Stars... one right after another... a total of 5 for the day. He ravaged the Joplin Fireballs for 5 hits in his 5 at-bats and propelled the Death Stars to a 13-5 victory. "Woodward was really good and we were really bad," groaned the Fireballs manager. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Jim Woodward tripled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. This year Woodward is batting .317 with 2 home runs. |
