Thomas Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle
Tuesday, August 15th, 2017
You might say Brad Thomas wore out his welcome with the Amarillo Horseman. The right fielder gave them fits in today's 15-3 Astoria victory by hitting for the cycle. "To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple, and home run in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Thomas ended the day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 runs batted in and 4 runs scored.

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, he said, "After the first three hits, I thought to myself, This could be the game I hit for the cycle. And I got lucky and did it."

Brad Thomas hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Glenn Ritter in the 8th.

This year Thomas has 18 home runs and a .364 batting average.
