Thursday, August 3rd, 2017
Billings first baseman Hidetada Yamada put on quite a show at The Bell with a big 5-hit day in the 8-7 victory over the Philadelphia Freedom.
In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 6.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too."
Hidetada Yamada doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
This season Yamada is batting .367 with 126 hits, 17 home runs, 84 RBIs, 48 walks, .444 OBP and has scored 80 runs. He has played in 95 games.
