3B Silas Elder Hurt Friday, May 19th, 2017 Earlier today, Durham third baseman Silas Elder had to leave the game against Fort Worth because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and will miss 9-10 months of play. Elder was hurt running the bases and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. This season Elder has hit at a .273 clip with 21 RBIs, 6 home runs and 17 runs scored. He has played in 35 games. |
