Ouch! Truman Madison Shelved by Injury
Saturday, May 5th, 2012
The Coronado Phantoms will have to make do without Truman Madison for 6-7 months. He suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing the ball in the game today against the Reno Raiders. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the left fielder. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back."
Madison is hitting .223 for the season with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 112 at-bats and played in 28 games.
