Grant Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Charlie Grant of the Billings Mustangs had a sensational 5-5 game against Philadelphia at The Bell. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 6-5 shellacking of the Freedom. In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?" Charlie Grant singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date Grant has chalked up a .180 average with 1 home run, driven in 13 runs and scored 22 times. |
