Horton Suspended, Out 7 Games
Thursday, August 25th, 2016
Following an intense confrontation with the home plate umpire in which he was ejected, Reformers third baseman Norman Horton was suspended 7 games by the league. Horton had to be physically restrained by his manager and appeared to make a few threats toward the umpire. He was upset by a called third strike in a game with Philadelphia at The Bell.
Horton could not be reached for comment on the suspension.
For the season Horton is currently batting .220 with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs. In 56 games he has reached base at a .306 rate and scored 18 runs to date.
