Garza Slams 5 Hits for Indian Wells Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 It was a hits blitz for Juan Garza at Stars Field. The Indian Wells Aeropostales first baseman tore into Leningrad for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Aeropostales to a 12-2 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book. The manager for the Communists bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Garza, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Juan Garza singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th. For the year Garza has hit .328 with 7 home runs, 49 RBIs and scored 62 runs. |
