Raffles Booms 3 out of the Park Sunday, July 17th, 2016 Stan Raffles, right fielder for the St. John Stingrays, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of Cruz Bay Park against the Albuquerque Cacti today in their 13-8 victory. After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes." For the game Raffles was 3-5 with 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Raffles added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke." Stan Raffles flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Suezo Miyamoto in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Alex Meyer in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Richard Koonts in the 8th. This year Raffles is batting .217 with 7 home runs. He has scored 28 runs and driven in 23. |
