Ramírez Blisters Coronado Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 It was a sensational day at the plate for Ricardo Ramírez as he led the charge to a 12-11 win over the Phantoms. The El Paso third baseman was pure misery for the Coronado pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Phantoms told BNN reporters after the game, "Ramírez put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Ricardo Ramírez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and tripled in the 7th. A look at his season totals shows Ramírez with 3 home runs, .301 BA, .350 OBP, 29 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
