Welch Nabs BCL #1 Pitcher Award Friday, July 1st, 2016 In June Reno starter Brent Welch mystified Blake Camden League hitters and carried off the Pitcher of the Month honors by chalking up a 5-0 record in 6 starts. The 25-year-old Welch added 32 strikeouts in 40.2 innings and 19 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.66 ERA. Opposing batters hit .219 against him. To this point in the season, Welch shows a 8-4 record, 17 starts, 102 innings, 95 strikeouts and a 5.03 ERA. |
