Irate Hernández Suspended 6 Games Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 Orlando Hernández, catcher for the Minneapolis Freeze, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 6-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Fort Worth. After being called out on strikes, Hernández stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap. "I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Hernández told BNN today. For the season Hernández is hitting .214, batted in 10 runs with 1 home run and 11 runs scored. |
