MR Alan Buckley Hurt Thursday, June 9th, 2016 The Fireballs received bad news this morning. Alan Buckley will miss 6-7 months due to a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Joplin-Fort Worth game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Buckley sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This year Buckley has earned 1 save, worked 26.1 innings, fanned 36 hitters and recorded a 5.13 ERA. He has also put up a 2-2 won-lost mark. |
