Smith Garners BCL Batter of the Month Award Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 Even though he is a newcomer to Triple A, Melvin Smith put up some good numbers in May and earned the BCL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Bronx's offensive leaders with a .278 average in 24 games. He also racked up 11 home runs, 27 RBIs, and 18 runs scored. This year Smith has hit at a .257 clip with 36 hits, 13 home runs, 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
