Cacti Blank Leningrad, Villalobos Winner Friday, September 4th, 2015 In an excellent mound performance, Juan Carlos Villalobos of the Albuquerque Cacti whitewashed the Leningrad Communists 6-0 on a 4-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The Leningrad manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Villalobos did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the Albuquerque hurler rang up 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout win. Checking out his stats for the season, Villalobos has notched 6 wins and 8 losses in 20 starts, 4.59 ERA and struck out 97 batters in 121.2 innings. |
