Cacti Cobb August's #1 Pitcher Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Bruno Cobb, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Albuquerque Cacti reliever, 26, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .196 average and walked away with the Kade Stenson League Pitcher of the Month award for August. Cobb posted a 3-0 mark and a 1.93 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 14 innings, he had 6 saves, 10 strikeouts, and no walks. This year Cobb has notched 14 saves. He has 48 strikeouts and 30 walks in 67.1 innings while registering a 3.48 ERA and a 4-1 won-lost record. |
