Freeze Taylor Out of Action
Thursday, August 20th, 2015
The Minneapolis Freeze will have to make do without Kurt Taylor for 10 months. He suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Philadelphia Freedom. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the reliever. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back."

This season Taylor has chalked up a 4.76 ERA while ringing up 1 save with 2 wins and 2 losses. He has made 32 relief appearances, pitching 39.2 innings, giving up 40 hits, and holding opponents to a .263 batting average. Taylor has also recorded 45 strikeouts and allowed 24 walks.
