Going Once! Twice! Gone Again! 3 HR for Bailey Tuesday, July 16th, 2013 Francis Bailey, catcher for the Philadelphia Freedom, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of The Bell against the Antioch Coal Miners today in their 24-10 victory. After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes." For the game Bailey was 4-4 with 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Bailey added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke." Francis Bailey hit a two-run home run off Loren Jones in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Tom Green in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Senichi Ise in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. In 2013 Bailey has hit at a .286 clip with 80 hits, 11 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 44 times. |
