Birmingham's Nichols Down with Injury Thursday, May 30th, 2013 The Birmingham Bobcats will be without the services of Ted Nichols for 5 months after an incident in a game against the St. John Stingrays. The 32-year-old first baseman was injured while running the bases and suffered a broken bone in the elbow. Nichols is hitting .307 for the season with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 26 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 153 at-bats and played in 43 games. |
