Great Week for Bristol City's Steve Simmons Monday, April 29th, 2013 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Kade Stenson League, but last week Steve Simmons of the Bristol City Smugglers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Simmons rocked opposing pitching for a .483 average (14-29), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season, Simmons has recorded a .351 batting average with 39 hits, 1 home run, 14 RBIs, 20 runs scored and a .411 OBP. |
