Tornadoes Chill Wells's Hot Streak
Monday, September 24th, 2012
The Kansas City Tornadoes pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Ronnie Wells hitless in 3 at-bats during a 9-1 victory over the Las Vegas Jokers at Debris Field. This disappointing performance ended his 24-game hitting streak.
"I'm a little down right now," Wells said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
Currently Wells has 8 home runs and a .286 batting average.
