Wednesday, August 22nd, 2012
The Jersey Jesters were dealt a severe blow when Mike Harmon was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. After the game, the team trainer reported Harmon might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 26-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. They indicated it would take Harmon at least 12 months to heal.

In 56 relief appearances in 2012, Harmon has nailed down the victory 0 times for his club. In 75.1 innings he has fanned 101 batters and walked 44. His won-lost record is 6-4 with a 3.46 ERA.
