Star of the Week Picked in TML Monday, August 13th, 2012 25-year-old Stephen Jackson made a few South Carolina headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Thurman Munson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Jackson collected 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In his 2012 season totals, Jackson has 18 home runs, .324 BA, .402 OBP, 61 RBIs and 66 runs scored. |
