Ruíz Is September's Top Starter Sunday, October 1st, 2017 Manuel Ruíz's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 4-1 in September, the 33-year-old Mile High hurler has been named Thurman Munson League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 22 in 32.2 innings, logged an ERA of 2.20 and allowed opponents to hit .215 against him. His record for the year is 7-16 in 31 starts and Ruíz has a 5.19 ERA. |
