TML Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, September 18th, 2017 Jeff Turner demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. The Georgia third baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .577 average (15-26) with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. Turner is hitting .304 this year with 16 home runs, 78 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 157 hits in 517 at-bats, 38 walks and a .353 on-base percentage. Turner has played in 135 games. |
