5-5 Game for Thompson Monday, September 11th, 2017 There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Taylor Thompson of the San Diego Hops had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 9-2 win over the So Cal Republic at The Brew Stade. The 25-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Taylor Thompson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Thompson is swinging at a .307 pace on the year with 3 home runs, 31 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played in 97 games. |
