It's Over: Sasquatch Stop Klein
Sunday, September 10th, 2017
Tom Klein saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Berserkers 13-5 victory over Seattle at Sick's Stadium. The 29-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by Sasquatch, but his Minnesota teammates produced enough offense to garner the win.
Talking to reporters after the game, Klein was upbeat. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit. How could you be unhappy after you have hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. And I am really happy that we won another ballgame today. Life is good."
Looking at his stats this year, Klein has compiled a .308 batting average, while hitting 21 home runs and driving in 79 runs. He has played in 123 games and scored 88 runs.
