Hitting Streak Still Alive for Yamamoto Wednesday, September 6th, 2017 Las Vegas left fielder Katsuhiko Yamamoto keeps on racking up hits in every game he plays in. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 2 hits in today's game. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out. I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've been a little lucky," said Yamamoto after the Jokers 11-10 victory over the Tornadoes. Katsuhiko Yamamoto walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off John Bryan in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Robert Cates in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In 137 games this season Yamamoto has batted at a .298 pace with 170 hits and 40 home runs. |
