SS Tomás Gonzáles Hurt Tuesday, September 5th, 2017 The Montreal Bandits were dealt a severe blow when Tomás Gonzáles was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the San Diego Hops. After the game, the team trainer reported Gonzáles might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 21-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a hamstring strain. They indicated it would take Gonzáles at least 6 weeks to heal. This season Gonzáles is batting .303 with 139 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 74 times and has 50 RBI. |
