TML Premier Pitcher is Eureka's Howard Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 "The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games." Claude Howard put together a very solid month to take home the Thurman Munson League's top pitching honor in July. The 25-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 14 relief appearances he raked in 8 saves and 19 strikeouts in 15 innings as he put together his 3-0 record and 1.20 ERA. Currently Howard has 31 saves. In 49 relief appearances he has hurled 52 innings, struck out 67 and issued 19 walks with a 5-1 record. The Eureka reliever has recorded a 2.08 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .178 when he is on the mound. |
