Republic-Sasquatch Fight Nets 5-Game Suspensions Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 If there wasn't a history between Mike Bergeron of So Cal and Reijiro Yamaguchi of Seattle, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 games as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Bergeron said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year Bergeron has hit at a .345 clip with 142 hits, 33 home runs, 95 RBIs and 84 runs scored. Checking out his stats for the year, Yamaguchi has racked up 4 wins and 4 losses in 19 starts, 4.16 ERA and struck out 76 batters in 101.2 innings. |
