Jokers López Sizzles with Cycle
Sunday, July 2nd, 2017
"To hit for the cycle" is one of the rarest of feats in a baseball game. This occurs when a player hits a single, double, triple and home run in the same game, getting every type of hit possible. Francisco López grabbed a piece of baseball history today when he hit for the cycle. López went 4 for 4 with 1 RBI and 3 runs scored against Boston, leading the Las Vegas Jokers to a 10-2 win at Lucky 7 Ballpark.

"I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," López said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me. The ball seemed that big to me. And it just floated in."

Francisco López tripled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ron Hodges in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

This year López has socked 46 hits in 170 at-bats for a .271 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .337 pace and his totals also include 19 RBIs and 27 runs scored.
